Come along on a virtual safari with Page Turner Animal Adventures! This eight week program will feature a different theme each week. Videos, once posted, will be available through September 7th.
Comedy storybook theater, guest performers, virtual field trips, author visits, puppets, crafts, recipes, and games will be part of the fun! You can watch the videos any day of the week, once posted. (We are putting all of them on Fridays to avoid overfilling the calendar.)
Here are the Celebrity Critters events and activities for this week. They will remain on the calendar through September 7th.
SHOW DAY: Get ready to roll out the red carpet when a cast of special guests join Kenny and Page Turner during this classic awards-style show honoring furry friends of the silver screen, hero animals, and presidential pets. The books mentioned in this show are available from our library: Strongheart: Wonderdog of the Silver Screen, by Candace Fleming, Presidential Pets by Julia Moberg, and Kangaroo to the Rescue by Moira Rose Donohue.
AUTHOR DAY: Super-Star author and illustrator, Pat Cummings, is the recipient of the Coretta Scott King and the Boston Globe-Horn Book awards. She’ll share her latest book, Where is Mommy? as well as Ananse and the Lizard. Her book, Where is Mommy? is available at our library.
Listen to Pat Cummings read aloud from her book, Harvey Moon, Museum Boy. This fun story features a boy and his pet lizard who go on a museum adventure and wind up in their very own movie. The book, Harvey Moon, Museum Boy, is also available at our library.
GUEST DAY: Wesley Williams has been on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent. Now he joins Page Turner Animal Adventures with an excerpt from his hilarious Puppy Pals show, featuring cute canines creating controlled chaos!
In case you missed the June 26th Fun Factory Saturday Celebrity Paw Prints craft, you can still make one using materials you might have at home! Here is the Celebrity Paw Prints Materials List and Instruction Sheet. The instructional video is below.
