Honoring Holocaust Remembrance Day
Step into the world of Anne Frank, a young girl navigating the challenges of growing up during the harrowing times of World War II. In the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, Adolf Hitler and the Anti-Semitic Nazi Party rose to power in Germany, seizing control of the government in 1933. As a Jewish family, Anne’s family fled to Amsterdam in the Netherlands for safety. However, in May 1940, the Nazis occupied the Netherlands, forcing Anne’s family into hiding. For two years, they lived in a Secret Annex above her father’s office building.
Meet Anne Frank, a girl of faith, hope, and an indomitable spirit, portrayed by historical presenter Michelle Gibbons. Anne will transport you to one of the most tragic and devastating periods in history, sharing her life and the poignant writings from her diary, which later became the globally renowned, “The Diary of Anne Frank.”
