Farmyard Friends Week

Come along on a virtual safari with Page Turner Animal Adventures! This eight week program will feature a different theme each week. Videos, once posted, will be available through September 7th.

Comedy storybook theater, guest performers, virtual field trips, author visits, puppets, crafts, recipes, and games will be part of the fun! The events and activities were designed with Grades K-3 in mind, but many are great for all ages. You can watch the videos any day of the week, once posted. (We are putting all of them on Fridays to avoid overfilling the calendar.)

SHOW DAY: In this original Moooosical Adventure, Myrtle Over the Moon, a “boring bovine” seeks love and fame on MooTube by attempting to jump over the moon. Will Myrtle find the appreciation she craves? Tune in to find out! A cast of talented kids join Kenny and Page Turner in a fun tale of farmyard friendship.

CRAFT DAY: With a few paper plates and some simple supplies, you can make your own Myrtle Over the Moon, or Sam Over the Moon, or Jessica Over the Moon, or… Have fun making a Cow Over the Moon Paper Plate Spinner using materials you may have at home. AUTHOR DAY: Tammi Sauer has written 30 picture books with more on the way! In this Author Spotlight, Tammi will tell us about two of her fun farm-themed books, The Farm that Mac Built and her latest book, Not Now, Cow. We have many of Tammi Sauer's books at our library. Stop in and check some out! Her ebook, Not Now, Cow" is also available to download from Hoopla Digital with your EGVPL card.

GUEST DAY: Kamal Bell had a farm…ee i ee i oh! Kamal will take us on a virtual tour of Sankofa Farms, including their working beehives!
