Where does garbage go and how can we make sure our recyclables are able to be re-used?
Our world today has become reliant on easily disposable materials. But do we truly know what happens to these materials when they appear to simply “go away” on garbage day? Join Theresa Greinig, the Education Coordinator for the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC), to unravel this mystery. Together we will review the importance of reduce, reuse, and repurpose. We will also learn why recycling right truly matters and review current proper practices.
