Get creative with nature in this hands-on art program! Participants will explore flower pounding, a fun technique using real flowers to print on a tote.
Dig into creativity and uncover the stories hidden in nature! In this hands-on art program, students will explore flower pounding, a nature-based printing technique that reveals the colors and patterns tucked inside real flowers and leaves. By gently pounding plants onto canvas tote bags, participants will “unearth” natural pigments and transform them into meaningful designs.
This activity connects art, storytelling, and the natural world—encouraging students to imagine the journeys, histories, and stories that nature has to tell. No art experience needed—just curiosity and creativity! Each participant will leave with a unique tote bag and a story they uncovered through art.
